How to Find Your Camera's IP Address

Port forwarding allows external access to your camera through your router.

Steps:

  1. 1Open a browser and go to routerlogin.net or 192.168.1.1
  2. 2Enter your admin username and password
  3. 3Go to 'Advanced' → 'Advanced Setup' → 'Port Forwarding / Port Triggering'
  4. 4Select 'Port Forwarding' radio button
  5. 5Click 'Add Custom Service'
  6. 6Enter a Service Name (e.g., 'IP Camera')
  7. 7Select Service Type (TCP/UDP)
  8. 8Enter External Starting and Ending Port
  9. 9Enter Internal IP Address (your camera's IP)
  10. 10Enter Internal Starting and Ending Port
  11. 11Click 'Apply'

Note: Nighthawk routers may use the Nighthawk app for easier configuration.
